1. What we collect

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, and payment information. When you sign up for the research list, we collect your email address only.

We also collect standard server logs: IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security, performance monitoring, and aggregate analytics only.

2. How we use it

We use your information to process and ship your orders, send order confirmations and shipping updates, respond to support requests, and (if you opted in) send the Verdaine Research List.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Sharing with third parties

We share your information only with service providers who help us operate: payment processors (to process payment), shipping carriers (to deliver orders), and analytics providers (aggregate, anonymized data only). All third-party providers are contractually bound to use your data only for the services they provide to us.

We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Verdaine, our customers, or the public.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session during checkout. We may use analytics cookies to understand aggregate site usage. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

5. Data retention

Order records are retained for seven years for legal and tax compliance. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion of your data at any time (subject to legal retention obligations) by writing to us.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@verdaine.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit. We do not store full card numbers — payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS-compliant processors. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
